Four Loko Ain’t Got Nothing On These Beers!
mademen.com – For the last two years brewers in Europe have waged a liquid arms race to create the world’s highest ABV (alcohol by volume) beer. Since fall 2008 the ABV of the most potent beer on the planet has more than doubled from 27 percent to a quite-literally staggering 60 percent.
These probably aren’t the beers you’re drinking. Most beer has an ABV of 4-6 percent, with 12 percent typically the limit for beers brewed using traditional methods. Bud Light and Guinness both have an ABV of 4.2 percent, for example. But over the past decade brewers have experimented with abnormal methods of brewing, which can greatly increase ABV.
My wife keeps asking me “What do you want for Christmas?”. I keep telling her the same thing… real doll… But since those are at least $5,000 I’m forced to look elsewhere. Well, I found my answer today men. Check…these…beers…out!
27 ABV? 41 ABV? 60 ABV? Are you freaking kidding me? Listen… every college kid in the nation (and some of my recently divorced friends) are hooked on four loko. I think it tastes like complete crap but I get why they drink it. To get plastered. Beer just doesn’t get them there fast enough. But looking at these beers, I don’t think that’s the case anymore. I have some strong beers in my day. Some good, some bad. But I’ve never had a beer at 60% ABV. Now the downside is of course, the cost. These beers aren’t cheap and good luck finding them in the US. Never the less… I think I’m now on a mission to find at LEAST one of these beers.
Hey honey… I want some Tactical Nuclear Penguin… Thanks!
